PLUG AND PLAY with your bike
You don’t need to use neither expensive, bulky stationary bikes or special professional racing bikes to enjoy a great VR biking experience. With Widerun’s trainer you can plug any kind of bike with wheels in a range from 26 to 29 inches, with a three steps setup. Indeed, from the very beginning in the design process, our goal was to make it as flexible and easy to use as possible, able to hold different radius wheels without forcing the user to touch anything. To solve this problem we came up with the idea of making the engine block slide towards the wheel until they adhere properly.
Oculus rift, smartphone based headsets and external screens
The VR head mounted displays (HMD) landscape is growing very fast, with new awesome devices coming up one close to another. As staring point we designed Widerun to be immediately compatible with both Oculus Rift DK1/DK2 and Samsung Gear VR, plus the other smartphones able to turn into a VR display. In the future we’ll be able to integrate all the other VR displays like Samsung Gear VR, Seebright, Sony Morpheus.
What if you don’t own a VR headset like Oculus Rift or Gear VR (or others)? No problems! Even if we designed Widerun in order to deliver a deep immersive VR experience based on VR headsets, you’ll be able to connect it also to external screens like smart TVs.
