Muscle Feast – Pumped Raw Review

Over the last couple of days I have shared my thoughts on NO3 Black Chrome Nitric Oxide Booster from Cellucor, Redline White Heat from VPX, 1MR Vortex from BPI, no-xplode from BSN, updated the best weight gainer list with newcomers. Today, I will take a look at another of the best offerings of PWO from a fairly well-known and respected name in the world of bodybuilding supplements, Muscle Feast.

Pumped Raw from Muscle Feast

They offer a range of different products designed to help bodybuilders. Pumped Raw is one of their offerings formulated to give a bit of pre-workout pep. It accomplishes this with vasodilators to get the blood flowing well and provide that always pleasant pump, combined with a few mild stimulants for a bit of energy and focus.

Supplement Facts

Unlike so many in the supplement world, Muscle Feast is excellent about clearly describing what is in their substances. A serving of Pumped Raw is 10g, or 3 scoops with the included scooper. Within that 10 grams we find:

Higenamine HCL: 29mg
Caffeine: 230 mg
Agmapure Agmatine: 573 mg
L-Tyrosine: 1,719mg
Beta Alanine: 2,292 mg
Taurine: 2,292 mg
Betatine Nitrate: 2,865mg

It has no fat, protein or caloric content.

Agmapure Agmatine: Agmatine is a vasodilator, meaning it widens the blood vessels. This can help provide the vascular appearance or “pump” so sought-after among bodybuilders. Agmapure is a specific brand of Agmatine. Agmatine has been toted to have a huge range of positive effects in addition to helping people get their swole on – including improved recovery times, increasing insulin production and even a nootropic effect.

Higenamine HCL: A vasodilator with relatively little history of scientific research, Higenamine has been shown to give some improved caridovascular function and potentially increase lung capacity.

Betatne Nitrate: Betaine, chemcially Trimethylglycine (TMG) is a compound naturally occurring in the body, Betaine as a supplement has been implicated in some studies as potentially improving muscle gains. In Pumped Raw, the Betaine is delivered in the form of a nitrate which also adds vasodilation effects.

Flavor, Jar Size and Price per Serving

Pumped Raw is available either unflavored or in a watermelon variety. The unflavored version can be good for those looking to create their own flavor palette.

Jars are available containing either 250g or 1000g. Based on the prices of $29.99 and $91.99 (as advertised on the manufacturers website,) this leaves us at about $1.2 and $0.92 a serving respectively. Definitely not the cheap stuff!

Ratings

Over at supplementreviews.com Pumped Raw bears the distinction of being ranked #1 in the “Pre-Workout Stimulants” category, with an overall rating of 8.9 and a total of 6 very positive reviews.

Verdict

Looking at Pumped Raw, it definitely has a pretty good reputation. Its easy to see why: the upfront disclosure of ingredients and the proven effectiveness of several compounds makes this a product which actually gets the job done.

Mostly a pumped-based formula, there is a bit of a stimulating effect thrown in, largely thanks to the caffeine and taurine – the synergistic stimulants which act as the backbone of most energy drinks. L-Tyrosine also acts to help potentiate this stimulant effect, giving you a bit of a boost. Compared to some pre-workout formulas which incorporate rather powerful and somewhat unusual stimulants, the caffiene-taurine-tyrosine combo in Pumped Raw is quite mild, but definitely gives a boost.

All of the ingredients used in Pumped Raw have a good history of safe use, so users following the directions should have little to worry about.

Overall, Pumped Raw is definitely the kind of pre-workout formula most people are after, providing vascularity with proven vasodilators, a bit of a boost with some classic mild stimulants, and rounded off with a few gain-encouraging supplements.
