Sann – Fierce Domination: Reviewed

[content-egg module=Amazon template=custom/compact]

Fierce Domination from Sann is a pre workout supplements. I bought a jar some month ago to test it and see if it could live up to the claims listed on their website. As highlighted here, I am a loyal fan of San Nutrition products, having tested several of their supplements in the past and always experienced good results. Because of this my expectations for Fierce Domination were high.

Claims
Sann claims that Fierce Domination will enhance workout intensity and athletic performance. Give you non-stimulant mental focus and athletic reaction time. Buffer muscle burn and toxins, allowing for more reps and finally, give you powerful muscle pumps.

Now you can set yourself up for great workout performances and beat your previous personal records with FIERCE DOMINATION! You’ll love it as your pre workout formula for pump and athletic performance.

Here’s why; the most result producing factor in the gym is fierce training intensity. We’re talking about peak athletic performance. It’s designed to powerfully energize you, deliver full muscle pumps and stimulate fast recovery. The result is rapid gains in lean muscle, strength and stamina.

FIERCE DOMINATION pre workout formula fuels endurance, muscle pump (muscle cell plasma expansion) strength and non-stimulant mental focus for athletic performance. It’s guaranteed to outperform and be the best pre workout supplement you’ve ever tried in the past or your money back.

Money back guarantee is not a common aspect in the supplement world, because more often than not, the hype is very different real world results. So we are off to a good start here. Note that this is probably only a guarantee when bought directly from Sann’s website and not at, say, your local supplement store.

Supplement Facts breakdown:
Vitamin C (As Ascorbic Acid) 250mg ; you probably supplement with vitamine C when you have a cold or are about to get one. Vitamine C is also a strong antioxidant, and it comes with several benefits; Vitamin C is required for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. The vitamine is essential for producing collagen, a protein needed to make skin, scar tissue, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels. It is important for healing of wounds, and for the restoration and maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.

Magnesium plays an important role in muscle contractions. It will also help you to speed up the recovery phase from an intense workout session. Magnesium also supports the cells primary source of energy ATP and increases metabolic efficiency. Magnesium is, however, mostly known as a superior post workout substance and not pre.

The 6.7 g Endurlac Intra-Cellular Plasma Matrix is a prop. blend, unfortunately. But lets take a closer look at each substance used:

L-Taurine is know to have mood enhancing effects, ability to lower cortisol levels, and it is believed to helps prevent oxidative stress induced by exercise. From a pre workout perspective, this is often promoted as a focus enhancing substance.

Glucuronolactone is a substance that is produced when glucose is converted in the liver. Glucuronolactone should allegedly be able to increase physical and mental performance, and have a synergy effect when combined with caffeine.

B-Alanine [Carnosyn®] naturally forms part of this PWO. There is no need to go into details about this. Beta-Alanine works. Read this post for more information on this wonder substance. The only thing thats bad here is that we dont know what the beta-alanine dose is here.

L-Aspartic Acid is a non-essential amino acid often used in bodybuilding supplements, as studies have indicated increased performance and reduced fatigue as a result of supplementation with Aspartic Acid. Its often used in pre workout supplements as well as in PCT supplements.

L-Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid often used in pre workout supplements and nootropics. L-Tyrosine has a wide range of benefits and is generally believed to be safe when dosed around 500 to 2,000 mg. Benefits from L-Tyrosine includes stress relief, cognitive enhancement, fat burning to mood improvements and more.

Choline Bitartrate is Choline merged with a chemical salt in order to increase absorption. It is mostly known to help with improved memory and learning abilities, along with improved focus, which is probably the reason for the inclusion in Fierce Domination. The recommended dose is around 500 mg.

Caffeine Anhydrous is.. well yeah caffeine. No need for a lot of details here.

L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid that is known to improve energy levels, focus and reduces stress. Theanine occurs naturally in (Green Tea) and is part of the relaxed sensation you get from drinking it. L-Theanine is also believed to be safe when supplementation is within reasonable limits.

The 5 g. Tri-Creatine ATP Fusion mix contains the following:

Creatine Monohydrate that has been used for ages and covered several times before. There is no doubt about the benefits from this. No need for more details here. I have shared some details on it here.

Creatine HCI or creatine hydrochloride is one of the newer forms of creatnie which is created by attaching a hydrochloride group to creatine in order to create a salt. It is believed to be more soluble in water than creatine monohydrate, and because of this, required a smaller dose when compared to monohydrate. I have found some info with suggestions that Creatine HCL minimizes the need for a loading phase, doesn’t give the bloat or upset stomach, etc. There is, however (to my knowledge) no scientific studies behind this.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate is another newcomer in the creatine world. As the name indicates, magnesium creatine chelate chemically bonds the creatine to magnesium. This, in short, means that it will be absorbed via a different pathway compared to normal Creatine Monohydrate, which is believed to enhance absorption.

The combination of the tree types of creatine will definitely give you the creatine boost you need to get some notable effect from it.

Finally, Sann’s Fierce Domination also contains;

L-Citrulline L-Malate is a naturally occurring amino acid which is found in foods like watermelons and is also produced naturally by the body. In this body this is transformed into nitric oxide and as a result of this L-Citrulline L-Malate may help open up veins and arteries to improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure.

L-Carnitine L-Tartrate; there is a good read over at bodybuilding.com which you can read here. Here is with the key takeaway from the article:
“””””””””””””””””3-weeks supplementation with LCLT (equivalent to 2 g elemental carnitine/day) has been shown to reduce muscle damage produced by an acute bout of high-intensity RE in two cross-over, placebo-controlled trials.9,10 – the “gold standard” so to speak in terms of clinical trials.

According to the investigators, less muscle damage may have resulted in more hormonal receptors available for binding interactions with anabolic hormones,9 a circumstance that may explain the reduced progression of muscle damage (measured by MRI) in the recovery days following RE.9,10 With more hormonal receptors available for binding interactions with anabolic hormones, muscle growth potential is also increased.

In particular, one study has shown that 21-days LCLT supplementation (equivalent to 2 g elemental carnitine/day) in recreationally resistance-trained individuals induced a significant upregulation of pre-exercise skeletal muscle AR protein content [15.2% more compared with PL (12.9+/-5.9 vs. 11.2+/-4.0 au, respectively)] compared with placebo.1

LCLT may have worked by reducing muscle damage associated with RE,9,10 therefore attenuating the catabolism of muscle-specific proteins (including AR).1″”””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””

Glycerol Monostearate occurs naturally in the body as a by-product of the breakdown of fats, and is also found in fatty foods. What the reason for including this is Fierce Domination is, I don’t know.

Agmatine Sulfate acts as an anti-oxidant, appears to help regulate the levels of Nitric Oxide and should allegedly be able to give the user a focus boost.

Flavors, Jar size and price per serving
Alright, enought chit chat about the substances used in this pwo from Sann. Fierce Domination comes in Blue Raspberry, Wicked Watermellon and furious fruit punch. I had the furious fruit punch, and personally, I thought it was rather good, relative to other pwo’s that I have tested throughout the years. One jar with 40 servings will cost you a total of $39.56 on bodybuilding.com’s store. You can get the same jar at AllStarHealth ten bucks cheaper for $29.99 (which is the cheapest price I could find). So if you were to buy this at AllStarHealth, the price per serving would come out at $0.75 which I think is very fair.

Ratings
Sann Fierce Domination hold a rating of 8.8 on bodybuilding.com out of 10, which is based on a total of 107 reviews. It does however, not have any rating nor reviews on supplementreviews.com

My Results
Personally I had good results with this stuff. I think the price is more than fair, the flavor was good and so was the results. It was not mind blowing, but there was a good pump feeling and strength and muscle mass increase during the period of time where I used this supplement. I am slightly dissapointed on the use of a prop. blend as I dont know how much of what I get from a serving of Fierce Domination, but besides from this, I think this is a very solid pre workout supplement with no caffine, making it a good choice for late night workout sessions. For the ones looking for a hardcore stimulant pwo, this might not be what you are looking for. The focus is good, but it wont make you all buzzed up.

Verdict
Solid pwo, light on stimulants, giving a good focus and pump, with clear effects on strength and muscle mass. The only negative thing I can think of is the use of a prop. blend, and some will argue that it lacks stimualnts.
